Meanwhile,  Derose   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   five  hits. Cochran has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Cochran  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Derose  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Jake Fleischer was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eli Misera, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 On Derry's side, they saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cason Long, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 The  win  got Deer Lakes back to even at 5-5. As for Derry, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
 Deer Lakes will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Fox Chapel at 4:00  p.m. Fox Chapel's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so Deer Lakes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Derry, they will head out on the road to  take on  East Allegheny at 1:30  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games East Allegheny has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
