Old Colony RVT hadn't done well against Bristol County Agricultural recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 23-13 margin over the Chieftains. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kayleigh DeSousa, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Patty Spillane, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Old Colony RVT was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .389 or higher in seven consecutive matches.

Old Colony RVT pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Bristol County Agricultural, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
