The Alief Elsik Rams have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 52-51 victory over Fort Bend Austin. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Alief Elsik also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2016.
It was another big night for Ricky Wilson, who scored 28 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Uwalaka, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Alief Elsik's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Fort Bend Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Alief Elsik will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Fort Bend Travis at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Fort Bend Travis presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Alief Elsik in Texas (Fort Bend Travis is ranked 35th, while Alief Elsik is ranked 833rd). As for Fort Bend Austin, they will face off against Dakota Ridge at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Dakota Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
