Meanwhile, South Bend Washington entered their tilt with South Bend Riley on Saturday with 18 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 19. They blew past the Wildcats 65-38. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 21 points or more this season.
South Bend Washington had a senior duo take command as Kira Reynolds dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards and Ryiah Wilson almost dropped a triple-double with 16 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals. Reynolds is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last 32 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Monique Mitchell, who posted 16 points and three steals.
South Bend Washington was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Bend Riley only racked up five assists.
Warsaw's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.4 points. As for South Bend Washington, their win bumped their record up to 24-1.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday's game: Warsaw has been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 41.7% of their threes per game. It's a different story for South Bend Washington, though, as they've only made 29.2% of their three-pointers this season. Given Warsaw's sizable advantage in that area, South Bend Washington will need to find a way to close that gap.
