The Cambridge Academy Cougars's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They strolled past Anderson Christian with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. The victory was just what Cambridge Academy needed coming off of a 70-48 loss in their prior match.
It was another big night for Maddox Lee, who went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 1 assist. Another player making a difference was Andrew Wiley, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Cambridge Academy's victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-9. As for Anderson Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge Academy will face off against Barnes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Anderson Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Our Lady of the Rosary at 8:00 p.m. on January 17th.
