Solvay is 0-9 against Cazenovia since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Solvay Bearcats will head out on the road to take on the Cazenovia Lakers at 6:00 p.m. Solvay is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Solvay suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Jordan-Elbridge, falling 53-3. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Solvay in their matchups with Jordan-Elbridge: they've now lost four in a row.
Solvay used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Neonna Turk,
Annabelle Stewart, and
Amya Richardson posted a point each. Turk also led the team in rebounds with seven.
Meanwhile, Cazenovia's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Hamilton on the road and fell 56-29.
Solvay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cazenovia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Solvay was dealt a bruising 46-15 loss at the hands of Cazenovia in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Solvay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
