Baseball Recap: Florala Beats Elba for Their Third Straight Win

Florala put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Elba Tigers with a sharp 22-3 win. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Easton Walsh was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kennith Dalton Jackson, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Noah Bryan was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Florala was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Florala's record is now 3-0. As for Elba, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Florala and Elba will both be playing Samson the next time they take the field. Florala will host Samson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Elba will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
