Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They never let the Carver Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Washington's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Carver, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will head out to challenge Mays at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carver, they will square off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carver has given up an average of 5.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
