The Lindale Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Kemp Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lindale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Lindale will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Beckville, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Lindale blew past Beckville 12-4 on Saturday. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Morgan Keenright made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those doubles were her first of the season.

In other batting news, Emma Watkins was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Ava Grogan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Lindale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Kemp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to Hillsboro.

Lindale's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kemp, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
