While Mt. Pleasant put up plenty of  points on Friday, the same  can't be said for Scotts Hill. The Tigers took their  matchup  with ease, bagging  a  48-0 win over the Lions. The  victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.
Mt. Pleasant's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Kayden McCrory, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only six carries. McCrory's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.  Payton Niehaus was in the mix  as well, providing Mt. Pleasant with three TDs.
 Special teams also played a big role in the game for Mt. Pleasant, adding 18 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Jaylen Easterling, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from  Niehaus.
Mt. Pleasant's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Scotts Hill, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will welcome Adamsville  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Scotts Hill, they will host Lewis County  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season.
