USC-MAE is 2-8 against Downtown Magnets since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The USC-MAE Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Downtown Magnets Suns at 4:00 p.m. USC-MAE has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, USC-MAE didn't have too much trouble with Aspire Ollin at home as they won 38-22.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Downtown Magnets, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were the victim of a tough 40-15 defeat at the hands of Orthopaedic on Friday.
Downtown Magnets' loss came about despite a quality game from Melody Kuang, who scored 13 points along with 4 blocks. Kuang scored a full 86.7% of Downtown Magnets' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
USC-MAE's win bumped their season record to 2-3 while Aspire Ollin's loss dropped theirs to 1-6.
USC-MAE couldn't quite finish off Downtown Magnets when the teams last played back in January and fell 24-22. Can USC-MAE avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
