The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cristo Rey St. Martin in their matchups with HRK: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Cristo Rey St. Martin saw an underclassman step up: Alexy Chapa scored 17 points. Chapa scored a full 65.4% of Cristo Rey St. Martin's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Molli Ward was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists for HRK. The contest was Ward's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelsey Gardner , who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Cristo Rey St. Martin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for HRK, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cristo Rey St. Martin will take on Ida Crown Jewish Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for HRK, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison Area Homeschool Sports Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on December 16th.
