The Apollo Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against Muhlenberg County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Apollo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Friday.
Last Friday, Apollo had to suffer through a rough 69-34 loss at the hands of the Red Devils. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Apollo in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now lost six in a row.
Defeat or not, Apollo got some senior leadership from Jenna Dant and Jennifer Lee. Dant almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, while Lee. scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Muhlenberg County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They secured a 52-46 W over Hopkinsville.
Apollo has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Muhlenberg County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-14.
