It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Del Oro can now relate to. They took  a  7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the De La Salle Spartans on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
  Carson Moore was cooking despite his team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  doubles and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lucas Pusterla, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  run and one  double.
Del Oro's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for De La Salle, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record  this season.
 Del Oro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De La Salle, they will face off against St. Mary's at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Spartans have won 12 straight at home, while the Rams won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
