Senatobia will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Independence at SENATOBIA HS at 7:00 PM. If the game is anything like the 37-36 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Senatobia came within a touchdown against Pontotoc last Friday, but wound up with a 14-23 loss.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Independence ultimately got the result it was hoping for last week. They snuck past Northpoint Christian with a 12-6 win. The score was all tied up at the break, but Independence was the better team in the second half.
Independence's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Senatobia's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Independence can add another positive mark to their record or if Senatobia can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Independence's step.
