The Olympic Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 58-35 defeat at the hands of Myers Park. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Olympic has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Olympic lost, one person who can't be blamed is DEANGELO HALL. Despite the final result, he scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of IAN TOMLINSON, who scored five points along with two steals.
Sadiq White Jr. was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five blocks for Myers Park. White Jr. is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Bishop Boswell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Olympic's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-13. As for Myers Park, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Olympic will be playing at home against Berry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Berry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Wednesday. As for Myers Park, they will head out on the road to square off against South Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Mecklenburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 795 points over their last ten matches.
