The Baldwin Indians will face off against the Mandarin Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin will be strutting in after a victory while Mandarin will be coming in after a loss.
Baldwin took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Trinity Catholic 12-2. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Baldwin got a great performance from Lilly Hubbard as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Hubbard posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Mandarin fell victim to Atlantic Coast and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Stingrays, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Mandarin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Booth, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Booth is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stole at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Baldwin took their victory against Mandarin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0. Does Baldwin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mandarin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
