Monsignor Pace's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Catherine Guillaume, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Guillaume is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chesley Gachette, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
The win (which was Monsignor Pace's seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Atlantic Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Monsignor Pace won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Marathon on January 19th. The timing isn't great for Marathon: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Monsignor Pace has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road. Atlantic Christian will take on Trinity Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 559th, while Atlantic Christian is ranked 261st).
