On Saturday, Ridgeland-Hardeeville came up short against Eau Claire and fell 55-46.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Denasia Haynes, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Haynes has scored all season. Jaden Exley was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with four steals.
Even though they lost, Ridgeland-Hardeeville were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Eau Claire's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Destinee Tiller led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Milaysha Chisholm, who scored 12 points.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Eau Claire, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeland-Hardeeville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Barnwell at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Eau Claire, they will take on Keenan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keenan will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
