Mitchell is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Jaylan Moore was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of 11 wins, Catawba Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 57-41 fall against Indian Land.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Lance Barnes and Michael Jones. Jones had a great game and scored 18 points along with two steals. Meanwhile, Barnes did his best for the losing side, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Catawba Ridge struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Northwestern's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13. As for Catawba Ridge, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-3.
