The Westbrook Blue Blazes won the last time they faced the Kennebunk Rams, and things went their way on Thursday too. Westbrook strolled past Kennebunk with points to spare, taking the game 50-31. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Westbrook has managed all season.
Westbrook was led to victory by Kylie Young and Taylar Hodge . Young scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Hodge scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Hodge also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Doolittle, who scored six points along with three steals and three blocks.
The victory makes it two in a row for Westbrook and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Kennebunk, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Westbrook will head out on the road to face off against Windham at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Windham is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Kennebunk will finish 2023 at home by hosting Portland at 11:30 a.m. on December 30th.
