It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the St. Anne Catholic Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Walnut Grove Christian with a 48-43 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Anne Catholic.
St. Anne Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack J., who scored 12 points. Lawson L was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Several Christian Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robbie Adams, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Jack Bonagura, who scored 9 points.
St. Anne Catholic's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Anne Catholic is on the road again on Monday and play against Providence Classical at 6:30 p.m. on December 4th. Providence Classical will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against York Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
