The Tecumseh Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Springs Valley at home by a decisive 70-54 margin. Tecumseh was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Springs Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Deion Edwards was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Springs Valley. That makes it three consecutive games in which Edwards has scored at least 25% of Springs Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Konner Chase, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Tecumseh's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Springs Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tecumseh will square off against North Posey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Posey has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 301 points over their last five games. Springs Valley and West Washington will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
