Calvary Day School won the last time they faced Greensboro Day School and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Bengals 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Brycen Gerlach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
