Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wynne). They were the clear victor by an 18-6 margin over the Newport Greyhounds on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Yellowjackets with their most commanding win of the season.

Wynne's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Newport, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wynne will take on Riverside at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Wynne surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newport, they will head out on the road to take on Manila at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
