Jackson County dropped their record down to 8-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against  the North Laurel Jaguars, falling  15-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the  21-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.
As for North Laurel, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1-1. 15 seems to be a good number for they as the  team scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
For North Laurel's part,  Emma Carl was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  tossed five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits. Carl was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, North Laurel got a  massive  performance out of  Saige McClure, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, four  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  runs gave  McClure a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Katie Sams, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson County will square off against Whitley County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Generals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colonels have averaged an impressive 8.2  runs per game this season. As for North Laurel, they will face off against Boyle County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
