Two dominant  players in  Dori Saffer and  Caddis Robinson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Wray Eagles and the Y Yuma will face off  at 4:00  p.m.  on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wray has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
 Wray scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They really took it to Holyoke for the full four quarters, racking up a  72-38 victory on the road. That looming  72-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Wray yet this  season.
 Wray had a senior duo take command as  Sharon Greek  scored 11 points along with five  assists and two  steals and  Sydnee Cheek  scored 14 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. Cheek continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Isabelle Gillham, who  scored eight points along with four  steals.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of four wins, Y's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They took a  46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sidney. Y has not had much luck with Sidney recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from  Alina Moran, who  scored eight points along with seven  rebounds.  Taryn Sheffield was another key contributor,  scoring ten points.
 The  victory  got Wray back to even at 6-6. As for Y, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
 Friday's  game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting:  Wray  have been dynamite from deep this season,  having  only  made 32.3% of their  threes per game. It's a different story for Y, though, as  they've  only  made 35.4% of their  threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Wray and Y were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting  back in December of 2023, but Wray came up empty-handed after a  52-51 defeat. Will Wray have more luck at home instead of on the road?  Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
