Platteview got a good showing from  Michael Quinn, who   tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side, Platteview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Logan Grosdidier, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base. That  hit was  Grosdidier's first of the season.
Meanwhile,  Wayne unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Central City/Centura by a score of  4-3.
 Wayne also got a good showing from  Gavin Anderson, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Anderson has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit any time he's  pitched this season.
 Platteview now  has a losing record of 7-8. As for Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
 Platteview took their  victory against Wayne  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  14-3 score. Do  the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
