Softball Recap: Hartford Finds Home Field Redemption Against Menomonee Falls

There's no place like home for Hartford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Menomonee Falls Phoenix on Saturday. The Orioles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024.

Josie Wiman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lauren Voss, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassidy Klebsch, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

The victory got Hartford back to even at 1-1. As for Menomonee Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartford will welcome Whitefish Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Orioles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Menomonee Falls, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on West Bend West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
