This season hasn't been kind to the Weldon Valley Warriors, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were beaten by Arickaree 55-13 on Tuesday. Weldon Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  38-5.
 Weldon Valley's loss  came despite strong showings from  Ellie Koch and  Chloie Cuckow.  Koch  scored two points along with eight  rebounds, while  Cuckow  scored  no points. Those eight  rebounds set a new season-high mark for  Koch.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Weldon Valley  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only  an  assist. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Arickaree  racked up 15  assists.
  JANIYA SMITH continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arickaree,  dropping  a double-double on 21 points and 13  steals. The  game was  SMITH's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  LILLY  MONAT, who  scored ten points along with three  steals.
 Weldon Valley's loss was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.8 points per game. As for Arickaree,  the  win  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-2.
 Weldon Valley will be home for the holidays to greet  North Park at 2:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Arickaree will take on Gilpin County in a holiday battle at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday at. Gilpin County's defense has only allowed 29.6  points per game this season, so Arickaree's offense will have their work cut out for Arickaree.
