The Texas City Stingarees's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 4-0 loss at the hands of Friendswood. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Texas City of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Texas City has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-3 record this season. As for Friendswood, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Texas City will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Santa Fe at 7:30 p.m. As for Friendswood, they will head out on the road to challenge Manvel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Manvel is on a three-game streak of home wins, Friendswood a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
