St. Joseph Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by  a  50-24 margin over the Pacific Ridge Firebirds on Tuesday.  St. Joseph Academy was led to victory by  Angie Beath and  Luciana Aguilar.  Beath  almost  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and nine  steals, while  Aguilar  earned ten points along with seven  assists and seven  steals. The dominant performance also gave  Beath a new career-high in  threes (three). Another player making a difference was  Nancy Chavez, who  earned six points along with eight  steals and five  assists.
 St. Joseph Academy will take on Tesoro at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Pacific Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  41-40  win against Sage Creek on the 21st.
