The Morgantown Mohigans will take on the Washington Patriots at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Morgantown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Morgantown will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Hoover on Friday. The Mohigans walked away with an 11-6 win over the Huskies.

Morgantown got a great performance from Grayson Campbell as he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Campbell a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Weston Mazey was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Eli Boggs was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Morgantown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hoover only posted an OBP of .343.
Meanwhile, Washington unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Sherando by a score of 7-6.
Brayden Edwards put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Edwards wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Connor Smith, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Morgantown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Both Morgantown and Washington just can't seem to miss. The Mohigans have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Washington struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Morgantown was able to grind out a solid win over Washington in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mohigans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
