Coosa Valley Academy scored the most  runs they've had  this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the North River Christian Chargers by a score of  14-13. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  on Tuesday (ten), the Rebels still had to take the loss.
 Chloe Mims put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. She also put up two  RBI, which were her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Rylee Carmack and  Corlee Johnson did some serious damage despite the final result:  Carmack  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5, while  Johnson  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. What's more,  Johnson posted three  hits, the most she's  had since back in February of 2024.  Larissa Marvich was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-5.
 Even though they lost, Coosa Valley Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 18  hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  hit total in four consecutive  games.
Coosa Valley Academy's  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for North River Christian, their  win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coosa Valley Academy will venture away from home to  challenge Lakeside School  at 2:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Coosa Valley Academy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last. North River Christian will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tuscaloosa Christian at 3:00  p.m.  on March 21st.
