After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Lincoln Charter, East Gaston was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons  a   10-0 shutout.  East Gaston was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .389. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
East Gaston now  has a winning record of 9-8. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-12.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Gaston beat the Gryphons by a score of  12-2 later that day.
