South Aiken's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tekinia Dixon, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 20 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Dixon a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Myracle Culbreath, who posted 14 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, South Aiken smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.
Malasia Jamison was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double with 29 points and nine boards for Aiken. The team also got some help courtesy of Azaria Sapp, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
South Aiken has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.
