Alijah Romero posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Romero and Volcano Vista will take on Cleveland at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
