The North Valley Christian Academy Lions won the last time they faced the Anthem Prep Eagles, and things went their way on Monday too. North Valley Christian Academy walked away with a 42-33 victory over the Eagles.
North Valley Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Triniti Terracciano, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Terracciano has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chardonnay Pryce, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Despite the loss, Anthem Prep saw an underclassman step up: Madi Hatfield scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
North Valley Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Anthem Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
North Valley Christian Academy will play host again and welcome the Warriors, where tip off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (San Pasqual Valley is ranked 216th in California, while the Lions are ranked 231st in Arizona). Anthem Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
