Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Beats Eastern for Their Third Straight Victory

A well-balanced attack led Roosevelt over Eastern in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. The Roosevelt Roughriders blew past the Eastern Ramblers 73-52. The Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sean Hall, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. What's more, Hall also racked up five blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ke'Mari Pointer, who posted 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

The victory (which was Roosevelt's third in a row) raised their record to 13-6. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Roosevelt will head out on the road to challenge Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastern, they will be playing at home against Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Banneker has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 176 points over their last three contests.
