The LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Thursday against Lyle/Pacelli by the margin of a single free throw,  58-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 LeRoy-Ostrander's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Jenna Olson, who  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds and five  steals. Another player making a difference was  Benita Nolt, who  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 14  rebounds.
 LeRoy-Ostrander's win  ended a eight-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 3-19. As for Lyle/Pacelli, their loss was  their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-22.
 LeRoy-Ostrander didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup, a  67-22  defeat vs. Southland on the 9th. Lyle/Pacelli has also already played their next contest, a  58-55  defeat against Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons on the 9th.
