Arlington hadn't done well against Gregory-Portland recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Colts skirted past the Wildcats 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Colts as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Kalysa Humbles paced Arlington's offense, picking up 17 kills. Humbles got some help from Sophie Gomez and her 15 assists. Finally, Savannah Scroggins kept Arlington's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Arlington's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Gregory-Portland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Arlington has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Incarnate Word on the 23rd. As for Gregory-Portland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Langham Creek on the 23rd.
