Collinwood is 9-1 against the Lions since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Collinwood Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Hughes Lions at 6:00 p.m. Collinwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Collinwood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Vikings.
Meanwhile, Hughes took a serious blow against the Vikings on Monday, falling 71-24. While losing is never fun, Hughes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Vikings are ranked 121st).
Collinwood has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Hughes, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Everything came up roses for Collinwood against the Lions when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 57-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Collinwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
