It was a good run, but the Washougal Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 38-30 to Ridgefield. Washougal has struggled against Ridgefield recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Holden Bea, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mather Minnis, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Washougal were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Washougal now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Ridgefield, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washougal will face off against Columbia River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 355 points over their last five matchups. As for Ridgefield, they will head out on the road to face off against R.A. Long at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. R.A. Long will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
