Alcovy had lost 16 games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-14 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Southwest DeKalb Panthers. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

As for Southwest DeKalb, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 3.38 runs allowed.

For Southwest DeKalb's part, Nyla Denbow was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chrissee Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alcovy will take on Loganville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
