Kayetano Jaimes Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is East Texas Homeschool Sports's Kayetano Jaimes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Thursday Jaimes made four total tackles and defended three passes, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended three passes.

Layton Francis and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Fort Worth THESA picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Layton Francis. Francis was dynamite, throwing for 241 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 91 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
On the season, Francis has thrown 22 touchdowns (and and only 2 pick) while averaging 130 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 57.29 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 95.43 rushing yards.

While Westlake Academy might've come up empty on Friday, Gunnar Barnard wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Barnard as he rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Westlake Academy is 2-1 when Barnard posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
Westlake Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. Barnard's next matchup is against Hill County on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Fort Worth THESA Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Andrew Keller
Fort Worth THESA picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Andrew Keller. Keller was dynamite, picking up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 30 yards. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.
This year, Keller has caught 13 touchdowns while averaging 69.3 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had six receiving touchdowns.

Angel Manon Makes It Two for Westlake Academy
The second Westlake Academy player making an appearance here is Angel Manon, and for good reason. He rushed for 75 yards on only six carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards.
