Friday just wasn't the day for Gilmer County's offense. They were beaten by the Wahama White Falcons 63-0 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the  53-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2023.
 Wahama's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Connor Lambert, who rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Lambert's rushing production has been exceptional  as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 106  rushing yards. Another player making a difference was  Trace Simpkins, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
 Gilmer County's loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wahama, the  win for them keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilmer County will face off against South Harrison at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Wahama, they will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenbrier West at 7:00  p.m.  on November 15th.
