Aron Kagin posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
