Norview is 10-0 against Manor since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Norview Pilots will head out on the road to face off against the Manor Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Norview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
After a string of three wins, Norview's good fortune finally ran out. They were dealt a 70-31 defeat at the hands of Princess Anne. While losing is never fun, Norview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Princess Anne is ranked seventh).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kiyah Fitchett, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Leyla Minor, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Norview struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Manor put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 44-25 victory over Salem.
Norview's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Manor, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Everything went Norview's way against Manor in their previous meeting back in January as Norview made off with a 80-56 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
