The Eldon Mustangs will head out on the road to  take on  the Osage Indians at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Thursday, Eldon was able to grind out a solid  win over Blair Oaks, taking the game  64-54. Given Eldon's advantage  in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings  (they are ranked 124th, while Blair Oaks is ranked 319th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Sydney Halderman was  her usual excellent self,  scoring 23 points along with eight  assists and six  steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Delaney Mcghay, who  scored 20 points.
 Meanwhile, Osage earned a  60-50 win over Linn  on Thursday. Osage pushed the score to  44-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Linn cut but never quite recovered from.
 Eldon has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record  this season. As for Osage, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
 Everything went Eldon's way against Osage when the teams last played  back in February of 2023 as Eldon made off with a  63-37 victory. Will Eldon repeat their success,  or does  Osage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
