On Thursday, the Polk County Wolverines kept a clean sheet against the Patton Panthers. They blew past the Panthers 4-0. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory Polk County has managed all season.
 They hit Patton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Gabby Savaia, 
 Caroline Taylor, 
 Hayden Blackwell,  and 
 Elena Carroll.
 The  victory  got Polk County back to even at 1-1-3. As for Patton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polk County will take on Landrum at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Polk County and Landrum are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Patton, they will look to defend their home pitch  on Tuesday against Brevard at 6:00  p.m.
